We have been in search of a good quality Philippines Oud oil for a long time and our search has finally come to an end. As of my search on on the internet today there a handful seller offering Philippines Oud oil, so you will be among the very few people who have tried this amazing full bodied oud oil.

When one thinks of Oud, Cambodian or Indian oud first comes to mind and then the rest. You would be amazed to know that Philippines produces one of the best agarwood and it was found not long ago and become very popular in the middle east within the past 5 to 7 years and the oud chips from Philippines are highly sough after. A kilo of good oud chips/wood sells for nothing less than 15 to 20k USD.
At present there are not many known Oud distiller in the country as they lack the equipment and the expertise to distill good oud oil, however this is fast changing.

Our oud oil was distilled from wild Oud material collected by local farmers and sorted and selected by a common friend from India who now lives in the Philippines.

This oil was distilled using traditional distillation techniques used by artisan distillers in India. The whole setup to distill this oil took more than 2 years.

Now lets talk about this Philippines Oud oil, the opening is dark smokey citrus, musky with sweet nuances similar to that of Haitian Vetiver, it also has dry raisins touch to it and I also get notes of unripen mangoes. This one reminds me of old vintage Sri Lankan oud with very and Indian Oud without the barnyard notes.

The quantity is limited as we only managed to get hold of 60 grams in total.
